Artist's Biography

I am Russell DeBaun; I was born in Portales, New Mexico. I sold my first artwork at age 8. I had no formal art training until Jr. High where I was taken under the wing by the art teacher who introduced me to acrylic painting, where I excelled. In high school the art teacher put me in honors art class where I was also introduced to bronze casting, water Colors, mixed media, photography and oil paints, I went to the Art Institute of Dallas and earned my Associates of Applied Arts in graphic art and illustration. In recent years I learned to do tattoos, digital photography and Retouching I believe in trying all forms Art. I am an Avid outdoorsman and enjoy camping, hunting and fishing, hiking, animal tracking and teaching this to my grand children. I use my experiences in the field to enhance my artwork.
