Artist's Biography

Dilia was born in Santiago, Chile. She graduated from the University of Chile School of Applied Arts with a degree in Interior Design. After studies in printmaking and sculpture, Dilia apprenticed to master jeweler Katya Kroll. This began her career in jewelry making. Her contemporary designs are inspired by different primitive cultures. She combines metals to achieve color patterns and adds semi-precious stones, beads, wood, bone for further enrichment. For me,jewelry making is a personal expression of one’s intimate relationship with color,texture,pattern,and one’s own life story.
